About this course
Agrifood Leadership is a specialised leadership development programme designed for dynamic professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, agronomists, and other stakeholders across the agri-food sector in Greece. Implemented by New Agriculture New Generation, with the scientific guidance of Rutgers University, New Jersey, the programme aims to develop the next generation of leaders who can contribute to a more innovative, collaborative, and sustainable agri-food ecosystem.
Through experiential learning, interactive workshops, educational visits, networking opportunities, and assessments delivered via the Cultivate Academy platform, participants strengthen their leadership, communication, decision-making, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills. Key topics include leadership and communication, emotional intelligence, climate resilience, team building, marketing strategy, digital marketing, agri-food economics, agricultural policy, and EU governance and decision-making.
This training is designed for emerging professionals, entrepreneurs, agronomists, business executives, and other stakeholders active in the agri-food sector in Greece. It is aimed at individuals who have the potential and ambition to develop into future leaders, strengthen their leadership and communication skills, expand their professional network, and contribute to the sustainable development and transformation of the agri-food ecosystem.

Course Structure: 120 hours of teaching, 15 hours of personal study delivered across 8 months

By the end of the programme, participants will have gained practical leadership tools, enhanced their professional capabilities, expanded their network, and joined a community of agri-food leaders committed to addressing sector challenges and shaping a sustainable future for agri-food in Greece.
The training is structured into a sequence of thematic modules covering the following areas:
- Leadership and CommunicationEmotional Intelligence and Leadership
- Climate Resilience
- Building the Leader
- Building and Working with Teams
- Marketing Strategy
- EU Governance and Decision-Making
- Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Policy, including a visit to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food
- Digital Marketing
- Final assessment and community-building activities
Assessment & Learner Certification
Participants will be assessed through attendance, active participation, engagement in workshops and discussions, and completion of assessment tasks for each module through our organisation’s Cultivate Academy platform
The pass mark is 60% for each module. Successful completion requires participants to achieve at least 60% in every module assessment, along with consistent attendance and active participation.
Application Process & Fees
Tuition fees are €1600 per person
The application process is carried out through an online application form. Applicants are asked to answer questions regarding their profile and background, such as their age, professional role, the organization or company they work for, as well as other relevant information.
Applications are then reviewed by a four-member committee, and the selection process includes online interviews with the candidates. The aim of the process is to select the final number of participants, based on key criteria such as the candidates’ potential to develop into leaders in the sector, their skills and experience, as well as their ability to actively contribute to the community that will be created.

At the same time, particular emphasis is placed on ensuring representation from all areas of the agri-food sector, including agronomists, entrepreneurs, business executives, and other industry professionals. In this way, the program aims to create a diverse and inclusive community that reflects the variety and breadth of the agri-food ecosystem.
Enrolment is not open on an ongoing basis. Applications are open from 22 June to 25 September, and participants are then selected through a structured application and interview process
